Hello,

my name is Claudia Bosselmann and I’m invited as your judge for your Miniature American Shepherd Specialty in 2025. I want to shortly  introduce your judge for this year.

I have my kennel name Rafter Creek since 2002. I was always breeding on a limited basis, always when I wanted to keep something for myself. I started my breeding programme with my dogs which I imported from the US and had my first litters by using frozen semen. I’m over 20 years president of the Australien Shepherd Club Germany and this is still my job. In 2019 we started with the Miniature American Shepherd and we are also reponsible breed owner in Germany under FCI for this breed. I had seminars with American breed judges for the Miniature American Shepherd but unfortunately never breed them. I know what I Iike to see and what not.

In bred and own FCI Worldwinner, VDH Century Winner, VDH National and European Winner, multiple Champions – so I was quite successfull with my Aussies also in Dog Sports. In the meantime I’m 60 years old and still own 3 Aussies.

Since 2012 I’m a specialy judge for Australian Shepherd and since 2019 for the Miniature American Shepherd. After the I made 29 breeds in the Nordic Kennel Club like Sibirian Huskies. Alaskan Malamutes, Islandic Sheepdogs, Samoyed, Akita, Shiba Inu and others. With my friends Paula McDermid and Inga Cerbule I had written the book about judging the breed in order that the judges judge the breed to their advantage: a moderate working dog.

I will judge your breed to it’s best and I think I will have the same problems like we have in Germany. I wish you all the best and I hope you can live with my judging.

All the best

Claudia Bosselmann
